What Are Your Must Reads For 2011?

From old books we've always meant to read and new books by favorite authors (maybe from our January must reads?) to books we weren't able to finish the first time and books we could read over and over again, our eyes are bigger than our brains when it comes to mental reading lists. But what books do you hope/plan/insist on making time for over the next 12 months?

I really enjoyed A.S. Byatt's The Children's Book, so now I have to backtrack and finally read Possession!

I just want to finish Anna Karenina. I read half of it two years ago and I think it's time I pick it up again. I'll have to restart though (bummer).

Just started Moby Dick, which has always been on my list. Plus The Year of The Flood by Margaret Atwood, Drive-by Saviours by Chris Benjamin, and Stephen King's Under the Dome.

I WILL finish Dracula, dammit! A couple of books I've been meaning to read for awhile are Vanity Fair and Madame Bovary, which I now have on my new Kindle through their free classics archive, so this will be the year. dexaholic, Alicia Silverstone's book The Kind Diet has some delicious and pretty easy recipes. It's vegan, not vegetarian, but it has some very scrumptious stuff!

Nerd alert from an English major! Middlemarch (George Eliot), more Shakespeare (specifically the histories), and I've started trying to read the Bible all the way through. I'd like to finish it eventually -- it's actually really interesting in context of it being the source of so many literary references.

I really liked Great Expectations. I only have two specific ones right now, The Glass Bead Game by Hermann Hesse and The Elegant Universe, don't remember who it's by but it's pretty much string theory for people with little to no background in physics.

I'm finally going to finish Gulliver's Travels and Don Quijote. Finishing The Mayor of Casterbridge by Thomas Hardy right now. Want to read Vanity Fair and A Passage to India.

Among others, i'm really excited this year to read the egyptian book of the dead, great expectations,. waiting for godot, three lives, and the brothers karamazov.
