Sometimes I feel sorry for men. Unless they're really creative with their style or become drag queens, men don't have a lot of ways to express their individuality with fashion. Hence, the tacky man-shirt. It comes in many varieties, but for me, two of the most egregious examples are the following. You know guys who wear this stuff sincerely think they're making a "statement," but unfortch that statement is "I am tacky." So, what's tackier?

Hawaiian shirts get a pass because clueless middle aged men wear them (bless), whereas it's generally try-hard leches who dare to don shiny shirts.

I hate the hawaiian shirts. I think it's got something to do with living in the Caribbean & having to witness tourists wearing them to the beach thinking nobody is going to notice they're trying too hard. As for the other one, now that really is trying too hard & I would probably avoid that person for the rest of the night.

Tommy Bahama makes some pretty decent looking hawaiian prints for men.

There's no excuse for wearing a shiny polyester shirt. They automatically make their wearer into a douche bag.

Definitely the shiny shirts.... ugh. Even at the club, I think that's gross. But Hawaiian shirts can be ok - they have their place.
