Alec Baldwin is the proud owner of an aging bookmobile from the library in his hometown, Massapequa, NY. The old 'mobile was in such disrepair that it would have cost $200,000 to fix, so Alec, the only bidder, ponied up $1,000 for it. The bookmobile was then towed to his property in Amagansett, NY and left for whatever his deep pockets desire. But what's a 52-year-old man to do with a 48-year-old bookmobile?
His assistant, who handled most of the logistics of its purchase, told the local librarian he was considering using it as a playhouse for children or an office. Personally, I'd like to see it turned into his primary residence and the inside decorated ultramodern, so he can pose for Dwell magazine and make it onto Unhappy Hipsters.
