THIS SUCKS!
1Welcome, Tres, we're very excited for the site! Now if only I can figure out how to make the correct accent on my keyboard...
2Welcome, Très!!
3Welcome to the Sugar family, Tres!
4They were paid to say that...
5Welcome, Très! Can't wait to get to know ya! So excited for all the new features, especially Book Bag!
6And nowhere in that list is actual news. Which is what Citizen was. I don't see how this is going to make the Citizen users happy.
7I'm thinking this is an eviction notice for Citizen users.
8Geez - women are stupid so they'll like the site better if we put silly stuff and condom stories in with the boring old news.
9Cheers!
10"They were paid to say that... "
That made me laugh more heartily out loud than anything I've seen on the internet in like a year.
11This is seriously stupid. I never read Giggle or Dear, and only about half of Citizen, so if you think I'm going to sift through those posts to get to the occasional good one...
12Also, it looks like Tress Sugar. Which is ironic because I find the highlights on the avatar distracting.
13Is my concentrated dose of daily laughter,GiggleSugar, gone? Please don't take it away, ladies! I need my daily fix of quick laughs!
14You'll be getting a tea bag in the mail from me.
15
16so is tresugar an amalgamation of gigglesugar, citizensugar and dearsugar?? and petsugar???? i sure hope not
17Cute alerts, fun quizzes??? Is your target audience 12 now?
18Welcome!
19Seriously. Why would you put celebrity twitter quotes and sex advice in a place where people like to talk about the news?
20This is just sad.
21Oh no - Dear and Citizen are merged?!?!?!!! I avoided Citizen's infighting by reading Dear instead! now do I have to read politics with my relationship advice? gah!
22Politics and relationship advice grouped together. Pathetic.
23Is there a place where the Sugar Network explains why this was done?
24TrueSong if you're worried about sifting, they have a "news" tab underneath the main TresSugar heading! I was happy to see that!
25Why...?
26I'm not scared of a little change, can't wait for a fun and fabulous new site! Welcome!
27If you think about it, this covers what most people talk about. It's like having a conversation with a friend:
You: "Hey did you hear what Obama said..."
Friend: "Ya, that was great/awful!"
You: "You should have seen what Leno had to say about it..."
Friend: "Oh, I caught that video on TresSugar last night."
You: "Just laid low last night watching videos?"
Friend: "Well, ever since I dumped my boyfriend, I've had a ton of extra time!!!"
You: "How how you doing about that anyway?"
Friend: "Great! I got some great advice on TresSugar last night!"
See! Politics, Sex, and Humor, what more could you want!!!!
28I'm not afraid of change, I just know that if I want to read crap, I know where to find it - I don't need it coming to me.
29Again, no mention of news. I agree with Steph. There's a reason I went to Citizen, it was for the NEWS. Not to find out what happened on the Real Housewives last night. That's not news.
30Oh, this makes me extremely unhappy. Why would you lump together sex, news and politics all in one place - and yet still keep entertainment and celebrities (a much closer match) in separate places?
I can't see myself popping up here nearly as frequently anymore .... this makes me so sad. =[
31Change is good guys. Let's see what the sugar team has coming up on this site before we get upset.
32I'm not afraid of change either. But I don't want a website that's like a conversation with friends. I want somewhere to go read and discuss news. Maybe I will start a new group for that.
33Seriously, "Think of my vagina as a vase"?
34You know what I love? The people who complained that we never got real news stories BEFORE.
35That one really disgusts me - do you really think that the majority of women want to read and discuss THAT?!?!
36^agreed. I think it's slightly condescending.
37It's like when I'm reading Glamour or Marie Clare and there's an article about swimsuits, and then one about genocide, and then one about wrinkle cream. I skip the genocide article because if I wanted to read real news, I wouldn't have picked up a Glamour in the first place.
And I don't want an article about stuff to try in bed in the middle of my Economist, for that matter.
38Digging it!
39Dumb. Bring back Citizen.
40I think it's hilarious that the only positive comments popping up are the Sugars .. because they're paid for it. ;]
TrueSong - you put it best. I like to read the news, but generally I surf other sites for that. I don't want the Times fraternizing with my Cosmo .....
41NOT A FAN! I don't like having sex/love, news, and humor all combined. Why can't they be separate. It is just not cool, I can't find anything and I don't like the 3 all jumbled up. Make them separate again!!!!
42Was there a lot of crossover readership before? I always read Citizen, but never Giggle or Dear. Former Giggle and Dear readers, did you ever read Citizen?
43Why not combine Savvy and Citizen, or Savvy, Tech and Citizen?
44
"They were paid to say that..." made me out loud!
45Savvy and Citizen would have made a little more sense, yeah.
46I agree Savvy and Citizen sound like a good match... this bums me out.
I was a cross over reader (not Giggle) ... but I don't want them combined.
47Or Casa with Yum.
48In response to TrueSong, I used to read almost all of the sites, but I liked to do them separately. I liked being able to go and check out the news, and then look at some new recipes, see some relationship advice, catch a recap on a tv show, etc. I don't like 3 things combined into 1. I probably won't even read tres, which is a shame because I loved dear. Guess I'm going to have to change my bookmark to Yum.
49Oh dear... Either this will be really interesting or really
Its already the
is out to play.
50I'll stick around for proof of intelligence though...
