Maybe it's because this ad is from Italy and they have fewer woefully misinformed youth than America (though as a Catholic country, I doubt), but the only thing this ad does is make me want to look away.
I get it. The campaign is called WOM (word of mouth), so why not be all literal and put a condom in a mouth. Except wouldn't that literally make it very hard to talk?!
Check out the one-minute commercial — it's NSFW or sex — after the jump.

Mmm, that looks...tasty.

That's got to be one of the clumsiest sentences ever, what does it even mean? Are you saying you think catholics are woefully misinformed about contraception? We're not, the church lost that battle back in the eighties.
5i completly agree with kiki tee..
6being catholic doesn't mean be LIKE the Pope..we know everything about contracception, and we start knowing that since primary school..by the way, early pregnancies are much more in the US than in italy.
this campaign is about hiv not about condoms. and the condom represent preconcets, judjements that people have against hiv positive people.
Kia, that's what I thought too.. maybe they could have used that opportunity to explain that you can get pretty much everything through oral contact as well. Half-informed kids are really not any better than completely uninformed ones.
7yet another slam against catholics on this site...surprise.
8Poor guy. That probably tasted really bad.
9"That's Not Where the Condom Goes!"
10Thanks for teaching us something we didn't know... come on. Be serious. We're not talking about pizza.
