We're seriously swooning over this bride's sequined gown! Lara and Louis tied the knot in Quebec, Canada, and everything from the flowers to the setting was perfection. Photographer Bonnallie Brodeur captured it all and had this to say:
"Lara and Louis got married on a bright sunny day at the beautiful Orleans Island in Quebec, Canada. Their wedding was vintage-inspired, and almost every moment of it was outside. And did you notice Lara's incredible dress? It was our favorite thing on this very special day!"
As far as the vision for the wedding design went, bride Lara said there wasn't really one. She tells us, "We both just wanted to spend time with all these people we loved and throw a huge party that everyone would enjoy. We picked the site based on proximity to Louis's family, I picked the dress, and then we went from there! Really we were just focused on the quality of the time we would have with everyone more than the actual look to the day."
And the best moment from the day? A very sweet exchange (and spontaneous musical number) with the couple's son. "My favorite moment from the day was saying our vows with our son entangled in our legs," says Lara. "We had planned to have him sit with our parents in the audience, but he wanted to be up with us and so he was. That and when one of our speakers suddenly burst into a mini opera making fun of my husband and me — it was amazing."
Lara adds some advice for other brides planning their big day: "My advice is just to plan all you can, but take time to enjoy the actual day. It went way too fast."
Besides the dress, I have to say their first-look photos are especially wonderful (and emotional). See the pretty wedding now!
