Vampire mania is in full force today as New Moon officially hits theaters. (Did you vote on our Edward or Jacob poll?) But before the Cullens there was Buffy, and before Buffy there was Count Dracula, and before Count Dracula there were the undead of folklore. I've gone back and investigated some of the more ancient vampire myths, and rounded them up in this quiz. You'll see that the history of vampires is more spooky than sparkly. Find out if you can spot the real myths from the fake!
Question 1 of 6
Fangs have always been a feature of vampires.

2/6 brutal! but in my defense, we're talking about vampires, so technically they're all fake
1i failed the test but I just had to comment because Robert looks so hot in that 1st pic
2I got 3/6. I thought I was pretty up to speed on vampires. Oh well.
33/6 myself. Really? so many silly things.
43/6
Though, I prefer the historical connotations of the development of the European vampire mythos rather than the practice or the vampires in and of themselves (just know enough to know that vampires should never, ever, ever, ever sparkle. Seriously. I find that highly offensive).
5I got 5/6. But, then again, I'm a fangbanger, so there. Of course, I'd get the vampires are sterile question wrong. Maybe I'll have to carry protection.
6weffie- they're not really fake though because people actually actively believed in vampires and therefore did those things to people. Just like the burned "witches" and the stake and stuff.
7That's also probably a reason early descriptions of vampires did not have fangs.. because people didn't really have fangs.. so then they couldn't really accuse people of being vampires.
84/6. Damn it. I want to shove that stupid apple in Ed's mouth and bury him upside down.
9can we combine them "Real Fake" would b my answer
10meh! 3/6
115/6, not too bad.
123/6 How do you bury someone upside down? Does this involve digging a very very deep hole and putting them in head first? How do you keep them from crumpling into a pile on their head? Is there a special pole you tie the feet to to keep them upside down?
13I makes sense though it's tough enough to dig your way out of a grave but if you have to dig yourself out from being head first in it it must suck. Not to mention all the blood is rushing to your head while trying to do it.
You answered 6 out of 6 questions correctly
Nice! Are you sure you're not a vampire?
146/6 i am such a good guesser!!!
153/6 - oh well, the only vampire to steal my heart was barnabus collin.
