True Confession — I'm Crushing on My Best Friend's Husband

"I am completely in lust with my best friend's husband and I hate myself for it. We flirt innocently, but I don't know if I could turn him down if he took it to another level and made a move on me. My best friend is like a sister to me, but I just can't help myself. Can I be forgiven for secretly feeling this way?"

Grow up girly! plenty of fish in the sea suitable for you. Please do not act on your feelings you will wind up hurt and disgusted in the end and perhaps no friend... I'm sure you wouldnt want that to happen. Nobody will give you the advice you seek because its not right.

can you really control what you do? i think that can be debatable. relationships - whether with married couples or not - have a certain kind of chemistry that sometimes controls itself. you can't judge unless you've been in those shoes.

So I know exactly how she feels. I'm also in the same spot, but I am married, too. My best friend's marriage is already crappy. They don't get along at all. At a party a few months ago, her husband and I were sitting on the couch (we're all really close, and it doesn't bother any of us), and he grabbed my leg and put it in his lap, so I was kind of laying across him. He started rubbing my leg and asked me to follow him to the bathroom. I freaked and got up to go where there were other people. About a week after that, I couldnt stop thinking about it and sent him a text, asking if he was just really drunk, or if he actualy wanted to do something. He was serious. Since then, we've exchanged lots of dirty texts and pics. I feel so horrible, but I can't help it. I know it would kill my husband and my best friend if they ever found out, but I want him so bad. I know I'm a horrible person and I don't deserve friends or my husband or anything. But given the actual opportunity, I think I wouldn't say no to him. I have made it clear to him that it can't go any further than it has, but can't bring myself to tell him we have to stop all together. I really feel for her. It's a horrible situation to be in, and it's almost impossible to not be selfish. I forgive her because I understand completely.

Okay forgive...hormones are hormones. I've had secret crushes before but it's up to you on how far you'll take it. So you can cut through the sexual tension with a knife big deal?! DON'T TAKE IT THERE! Nothing can be accomplished but an unwanted pregnancy or ruining their relationship and breaking your best friends heart. Don't do it!

trust me i am in this situation right now. i went to france for half a year and me my bestfriend and her bf would talk on msn well we all talked dirty 2 eachother i thought this was all a joke bt aparently he didnt and when i got home it started with a kiss then lead to more and now were having sex. she knows we kissed she was there but thats all. now he says he loves me and i think i love him. he wishes he never got married. i feel soo bad we went to far and now its hard to get out. i cant even look at her the same. idk if this will help u at all but i hope it does

Please have the sense to see that this situation is nothing but trouble. You need to back away and not have contact with your bf's husband if you can't control your thoughts about him. You have already crossed boundaries that could forever ruin your friend's life. You are being selfish and unrealistic in thinking this is harmless.

I'm undecided. If you don't actually DO anything in trying to entice the husband to take it to the next level, then that's fine.
