A Toxic Bachelor is a guy who won't commit to a woman or pretends to be something he's not.

The Player loves chasing women down and trying to win them with douchebag techniques he's learned from advice books like The Game. His goal? To make a woman fall for him, so he can move on to his next victim. The Smart Guy may woo you with his literary references, but he'll put you down in no time.

Yeah, they're damaged and have self-esteem and intimacy issues, but before we psychoanalyze them — we have to spot them and get the hell away. They come in all, even unexpected, guises. Below is but a preliminary list of Toxic Bachelors: Who is the worst kind?

Where is the The smooth talking, good looking player who turns out later to have anger issues and emotional issues? My ex of 3 years really, really messed me up. I let him go because I can't take the anger, insensitivity, and bipolar bursts but I miss him.

substance abuse issues guy :(i swear all those other 'quirks' or personalities can be changed (somehow) or at least they're a lot better IMO.. but if a guy has problems with substances especially illegal drugs, you really REALLY have to draw the line :(but overall, all these choices are all bad qualities that a girl shouldn't consider in a guy :)

Serial monogomists, for the same reasons as mamasitamali. When you meet them they seem to be perfect: good guys, willing to commit...what a catch, right? But then you realize they're just afraid of being alone, and you were just the girl that was there when he broke up with the ex. The worst part is that it usually takes a loong time before you figure this out.:/

The smooth-talking, good looking player is too obvious. You can spot him a million miles away. I voted for the guy hurt by an ex looking for revenge. A close second was substance abuse guy.

I choose angry...I dated someone who was well angry all the time, I couldn't even give him a back rub while he was playing video games because it made him so upset because it ruined his focus! Or the time we went golfing together it wasn't even fun I went home after 3 holes.

SERIAL MONOGAMISTS!!!! the other ones are SO easy to spot and unless you are very naive, you shouldn't get too caught up. the monogamists fall fast and hard but then down the line you realize there really isn't substance... do they just want a girl, or do they want YOU?

I say substance abuse (because it leads to other problems)... but then again, almost everyone I have ever met, besides me, has abused a substance over a long period of time... maybe thats why I'm always alone. . .
