I'd say this isn't real. That you can make this stuff up! But after ABC News reported it yesterday from the British Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, I can no longer deny it.
Of course, the story leads to all sorts of impossible-to-understand speculation about how it's possible: From "spermatozoa gained access to the reproductive organs via the injured gastrointestinal tract" to "it is likely that the patient became pregnant with her first or nearly first ovulation otherwise one would expect that inspissated blood in the uterus and salpinges would have made fertilization difficult." And the obvious verification, "the fact that the son resembled the father excludes an even more miraculous conception."
Anyway, let it be known that the girl-who-got-pregnant-from-a-stab-wound story is henceforth true!
