Among the revelations from the "King of Horror": many of his books were written in cocaine-fueled, alcohol-soaked, cigarette-fumed (two packs a day!) jags in which he would type while sitting in pools of blood.

Stephen King is AMAZING. I am not a fan of the horror genre in general, but his books are so thought provoking, and I love his use of language. And I don't think I could ever bring myself to go to Bangor, Maine since that is where most of his books take place.

Hey, if that's what it took for him to be creative and write all those wonderful books then I'm not gonna knock him for it. I love him and his books. He is by far my favorite writer. His characters feel like real people to me.
