Sex on a First Date

Many of us have done it. Some of us have enjoyed it. Some have regretted it. My own sister is now married to someone where it felt right that first time, another friend hated herself for months. I wondered what others felt.

I'm a total Samantha, so I've definitely done it on the first date. I like test driving a car before I decide to put a down payment on it, if you know what I mean. ;)

as others have pointed out...alcohol is a common factor in this scenario. having succombed to the pressure and/or enticement a time or two myself, i would highly recommend that you keep your pants on for the first date or two ;)

Sex is not my purpose of dating and if it be then i would have gone somewhere else.Its risky as well as your partner is still unknown to you.To me it is highly dangerous and i would never do it.

I lost my virginity during first date sex, to the guy who's now my husband. For me, only good things come from it :D Also, you don't have the time to get too excited about someone.. because then your expectations are usually too high.

I met this guy at work, I was the receptionist then and he was a bank official with some deal with my company, we started calling each other after sometime then when I chucked from that company we got closer and on our 1st date as in not official or rather just me and him after around 40 days we had sex. He is older than me actually 14years older, and I just like him so much, I would like if it builds to a stronger relationship........... I don't regret tho'

i'm w/ yoga...if he is hot and i am not interested in a relationship and just want to get laid, then i will (and have almost always had a blast and not regretted it). now if its a guy i really like, i definitely wait. after 10-ish years of dating (i'm 25), i know better than to give it up to a guy i'm really interested in right away. it took awhile and lots of tears, but i learned my lesson!!

Used to do it all the time! I wasn't interested in a relationship, and I only wanted one thing, and I didn't want to 'keep a man' I don't see what's wrong with that. Men do it all the time. I think it's fully possible to love sex and respect yourself. I've never felt like I've been disrespected by someone I was with. Once I was with someone a few hours after we met, and now we're celebrating our 5th anniversary next month and trying for our second baby. We were married 8 months after we met. He doesn't care about my past, and frankly, he's certainly not asking questions when we're in bed together and I'm at him like an animal.

After some mixed experiences with first-date sex, my plan is this going into any date: if it "feels" right on the first date, it will probably feel even more right down the road. Often I find myself all a flutter when things go well on a first date, and the rose-colored glasses go on. Developing a sex-worthy partnership takes time, however. So, I do my best to put off sex for a little while, until things are comfortable, but still exciting.

I have on a few occasions, not many. As to the its ok with girls on the first date but not guys, I am not sure I would agree with those comments based on my experiences. Once you have sex with another girl (first date or after sometime) it seems she either can't look at you anymore or she smothers you with attention. Guys on the other hand seem more able to realize that the sex was just because we both wanted it at that time and are alright with just seeing where the the relationship goes. Just my experience.

Yeah, I have. I havent always intended to really, but, when its 230AM, your both half naked, and your loins are on fire, a certain inevetability takes over. Then there's times I just wanted to anyway.

I very nearly did. We couldn't find a condom, so we postponed until we made a store run the next day. My biggest fear is that i wouldn't remember his name. i barely knew the guy, but it was a love-at-first-date kind of thing. I still remember telling him that this is not like me at all-I'd never done anything like that before. We're getting married this October. :) We are still, after 2 years together very happy together. Done it once, with a guy I knew for years before dating. 3 years strong, getting married soon. That being said, I don't think I'd have done it with anyone else.. I'm quite shy.

Wow...I'm surprised how judgmental some people are! I think it is a personal choice, and as long as you are comfortable with doing so than why not

One further thought; I'm a little surprised and equally disappointed that a number of people who responded on here view sex as something a omen "gives" to a man as opposed to something passionately shared. For sex to be good on a first date or after 20 or more years the woman needs to want it as much as him.
