"I could have turned everything into a crime scene, like OJ, cutting everybody's throat. You see a 19-year-old-boy driving your Escalade, and you know that a 19-year-old boy is in your bed with your wife . . . I mean I totally understand OJ. I get it."
— Hulk Hogan, who says his divorce and his ex-wife's new boyfriend made him understand why men kill their wives. Hulk's rep went on to clarify the remarks: "Hulk in no way condones the OJ situation. As part of a larger conversation, he referred to it to exemplify his frustration with his own situation." That makes it all better. Not.

He's the Hulk- not that I watch wrestling a lot but my ex-boyfriend use to make me watch it and he has always said weird stuff. Like Paula on American Idol.
I think he is frustrated with her and everything going on. It's gotta suck to deal with a nasty divorce in public. Linda seems to be trying to throw him under the bus for anything she can.
This doesn't all make it right but I know where he is coming from.
I get what he was trying to say, dont blow it out of proportion he wasnt saying he would ever do what OJ did, but he understands the frustration and anger that OJ must have felt , Hulk thankfully didnt act on it.
Same here - I understand what he's saying, too. While he does not support OJ's behavior, he can identify with the emotions of frustration and outrage. The difference is that Hulk is not lashing out the way OJ did. This is a big, important difference.
Horse Steroids make Hulk's brain no work.
Ha, wackdoodle! I heartily agree.
Yeah, it's inflammatory, but his soon-to-be-ex is WAY worse.
I also get what he was trying to say, I would be frustrated and angry as well.
Good lord!
I agree that a public divorce would be rough on anyone, not just celebrities! He totally could have worded this differently so he wouldn't have to explain himself.
Some things are really better left unsaid.
I get it. Still a really dumb thing to say in public.
What the HELL is wrong with you people? Are you condoning these TOTALLY inappropriate (and maybe criminal) remarks? That because he is MAD and FRUSTRATED that he THINKS about STABBING and MURDERING his ex? And dm8bri? Are you blaming HER? Has she said anything anywhere NEAR this awful? How could anything she has done or said be worse than this? If I were her, I would be getting an order of protection against this psychopath ASAP.
The *sshole just 'compared' himself to OJ. Christ.
If I was the primary bread winner and my husband left me for a 19 year old and said 19 year old was living in my house, sleeping in my bed, and driving my car I would probably have similar feelings. I just wouldn't share them with the public.
I agree with hope2be and hiding55. It's one thing to feel these things, it's another thing all together to say such inappropriate things, especially in public.
Poor Hulk. Such a guy thing to do, forgetting to re-evaluate statements in their heads before sharing them other other parties.
I use to watch their reality show and the tension in the marriage was very evident there. IMO she grew away from him and he bent over backwards in vein to save it but her mind was already made up. All that is fine but the way she has behaved publicly during their divorce process is so juvenile and would make any spouse absolutely mad with anger. She's going out of her way to humiliate him and that is so childish perhaps a nineteen year old boyfriend is just the intellectual equivalent she needs.
It was a way to express anger and hatred, not something to get all upset about. He wasn't saying OJ was justified in what he did, but he is saying how he understands how all the hate can overcome you.
Whoa now. Yes, you can be angry and upset and frustrated about your divorce. But saying that you can identify with OJ...not cool.
I sympathize with Hulk on this one. He is the famous wrestler that has worked all those years and made all that money. And for what? To see his ex wife get half of it and sharing it with her new boy toy. I'd be totally on the edge if I were him too. He's just frustrated. I highly doubt he condones murder. I do believe he feels extremely fed up and can understand what could push someone to murder.
Yeowch. He needs a LiveJournal.
Killing someone and wanting someone dead are two completely separate things.
Pegassus, I didn't want to leave a long-winded comment, so I tried to condense my feelings. Most posters are right in saying that he should've worded his frustration differently or not said it at all, however, his ex has behaved rather insanely since their breakup (and a little before), IMO. Only my opinion. It would be very different if he actually physically hurt her or had the intent to - I would never blame her for that.
I guess if she ends up missing they know where to look....
Obviously to murder your spouse you would be angry. How stupid to compare himself to OJ.
I guess they both messed up the relationship and they should have thought a bit more about each other. If a marriage fails then it's not just Linda's fault and she can have a nice relationship after that. They both deserve to be happy, so they should get over it. Especially him, if he's still saying these things - I'm sure he messed up pretty bad if I've read the right news about their divorce.
yeah...don't compare to OJ. bad move.
