Relationship Protocol: Mutual Showers, Sex Not Included

Whether you find the shower a perfect place or the worst place to get physical, it seems like the majority of us have tried hopping in the shower with our significant others on occasion. But the shower doesn't have to be sexy — sometimes a shower is just a shower. Heck, joining your man in the shower might just be a matter of convenience. I had a roommate in college who showered daily with her boyfriend, and I could hear them just chatting away before they both went about their own days.

So ladies, let me ask you this: Do you enjoy showers with your man just for the sake of showering? Or when it comes to getting clean, do you prefer the shower all to yourself?

Sexual and non sexual showers are both fun, if I need alone time while bathing I take an actual bath!!

It's hard to take a non-sexual shower with my fiance. He starts groping me like nobody's business usually :P I like to shower alone, especially when I'm trying to de-stress. It's quiet and I don't have to talk to anyone. Plus, I love to take super hot or super cold showers. He's probably normal and likes them somewhere in between.

Weekends, when we have more time, its all about the mutual shower... weekdays though, no time for that!

I like showers with my bf - non-sexual and sexual alike. We shower together A LOT, but it's not a routine thing. It just happens. I like the intimacy of it, even when they are non-sexual. Other times we watch each-other when we shower alone... lol we both do this (we have an all glass shower - no curtains).

My husband and I take showers together on a regular basis, sometimes it's fairly sexual but for the most part they're innocent. I love them, actually, they're so wonderful because we are very close and personal but not completely sexual and it's fun to hold him. When he's not home I miss the company.

I love it solely to get my back washed. He always gets the spots that I can't! Talk about convenient. But if I want to shower just to shower, and the Beau hops in, then there's bound to be some sensuality. Still fun though!

we always shower together...the few times i shower alone i don't want to stay in very long because i miss the company.

We like to shower together, and we always end up talking a blue streak. But doing that really depends on how big the shower is. When we lived in Texas, we had a shower that 6 people could fit in, with room to spare. We showered together everyday there. But back in New York, the shower space is tighter, so we still do shower together sometimes, but not as often.

my old roommate used to do this with her boyfriend in the mornings (when i was lounging around) and i could always hear them conversing. I always despised it because it made me feel so uncomfortable! I mean, maybe if I wasn't there I wouldn't have cared, but I am so conservative sometimes that it just bothered me - non-sexual or not. :)For me, personally, I really like to take my showers alone, because usually it's my favorite place to reflect.

If my bf and I get up at the same time we usually shower together. Personally, it's a nice way to chat before heading off for a long day at work. Weekdays we restrains ourselves and we make it non-sexual; weekends, however, it may or may not lead to more ;)

A non-sexual shower for me involves shaving and exfoliating and all that jazz. And for that I need some sort of concentration on the matter (and space!) so no, I wouldn't wanna shower with my boyfriend.

Non-sexual showers are still sometimes pretty darn sensual... I love it when my hunny and I are both rushing to get ready in the morning, and when we're not going to see each other all day he'll sometimes sneak into the shower with me so we can do a little cuddling and close-naked-time. He knows how much I love being touched, even non-sexually, and we both get a lot of emotional benefit from being so physically close. Plus, I get my back washed! Yay!

I like both, but I guess it depends on what mood I'm in. Sometimes I want to just get in and get out and that can be hard if you have to share a shower head. But otherwise, it's really fun having someone to talk to while washing your hair. Hehe. :)
