Real or Fake: Married Couples' Facebook Overshares

It's hard to believe so much trouble could come from the idle chatter of a Facebook status, but it does. And where there's trouble, there's a blog. STFU, Marrieds is a collection of Facebook overshares between couples. Some are unbelievable, and others are just typos gone very wrong, but the best have the overshare between the lines, like, "Btw, I'm bridezilla!" See if you can tell the real from the fake.

10/10. I think I'm on Facebook too much if I can recognize what seems legit and what doesn't.

I was never into facebook, but then my cosuin begged me to join and I did. I actually like it. I keep in touch with my friends and family and we compare quiz results even if most of them make no sense at all. I think facebook seems a little more family oriented than myspace. Maybe that's just my experience though. I still have no idea what twitter is however and I'm fine with that.

Jazzytummy, it depends on whom you add to your Facebook. I'm not disagreeing with using tact when it comes to status updates because it is being posted in public realm. However, it's a generalization to assume that true friends don't keep contact via Facebook. I'm fairly sure that my brother, favorite relatives, and best friends from high school and college aren't merely categorized as Facebook "friends". I live outside of the U.S. now and my friends and family find communicating on Facebook very convenient. FB isn't limited to dummies who brag all day or add acquaintances for no good reason. Facebook has also help me find lost friends from my days as a military brat. Having many of them come and go was sad and it wasn't as easy to maintain that contact what with all of us constantly moving. FB was a great way to reconnect.And, yes, I still would say the "friends" that choose to post on STFU Marrieds are douchey. Definitely not real friends of the couples they ridicule. Douchey, immature, and bothered enough to take stupid action about something that doesn't actually affect them. Yes, they're peeve and apparently they're too juvenile take the high road.

I think STFU Marrieds is funny. I don't have a problem with people being married, but if you go on the website, it gets really old. Like, OKAY, we know you have a husband, and you don't have to post about how there's 364 days until your anniversary and how in love you are -- and calling them every disgusting name in the book. I love my boyfriend very, very much. If I had a facebook, you can bet I wouldn't be taking my time gushing on a little update about him. I'd tell him to his face. No one cares about the love I have for him. I don't feel the need to do this.

Go figure, huh? - It's funny, or sad/creepy, depending on your perspective how much "twitter" seems to have taken over the internet & other places people tend to gather. I was never interested in joining "MySpace" when it showed up - although I did give in & joined "Facebook" to keep in touch with friends/family when they travel. Saves money on long distance calls, dropped calls, etc. But I will not get into the "Twitter" craze simply because I have enough trouble remembering all the "usernames/passwords" of where I work, bank, online shop, etc. - I don't need the headache of this voyeuristic website where everybody seems to know everything about everybody else. - Besides, give it another few weeks, months, a year or two & a similar thing will show up to replace "Twitter" & become the NEXT BIG THING!

I find it stupid that such a blog exist. I also find it douchey that the people who are submitting these facebook status' and comments to the blog are most likely friends of these couples. It reminds me of immature teenagers who like to gossip and stir unneeded drama.

Worse than bridal boot camp, I've seen "Jane is off to Weight Watchers! Gotta fit into that dress!" and other horrific status updates. So weird and sad.
