The highlight of the Ascot Racecourse's year is the royal event, which celebrates its 300th anniversary this year, since it was founded in 1711 by Queen Anne. Despite the outlandish hats, the Ascot is known for its strict dress code, and several years ago, it made headlines when fake tanners were banned.
