Pope Bobblehead Rides Public Transportation
Pope Benedict is visiting Washington this week, so the city created TV ads encouraging people to take the Metro rail, featuring — what else? — a papal bobblehead. Apparently, the ads have since been pulled, which is a shame. The Latin chanting, the copy of Car and Pontiff, and the wobbly plastic Pope buying a commemorative rail "mass pass" . . . it's all too bizarre to believe.
