In this day and age, professional responsibilities consume more hours than ever before, leaving us less time with our loved ones at home. Although affectionate e-mails and occasional phone calls are thoughtful and sweet, it's still important to set aside quality time for each other, live and in person. In the spirit of keeping romance alive, give your significant other the best gift of all this week: your time.

Lots of recent studies should that the happiest couples spend more time than other couples holding hands, touching each other, and gazing at each other. These activities, between happy couples, also lower blood pressure and strengthen the immune system. So, instead of using the snooze button for a few extra winks, reserve that time for lounging in bed together for another fifteen minutes.
