If you're in Berlin between Nov. 5 and Feb. 6, you can spend a night in the Hamburger Bahnhof Museum For Contemporary Art. Belgian artist Carsten Hoeller is inviting participants to sleep in the museum on an elevated bed surrounded by live reindeer and birds. Yes, reindeer and birds — maybe it makes sense in German?

LOL! No, I'm German and at first it didn't make sense to me either. I read up on it though and there are two things that weren't mentioned: 1)You would have to pay 1000 Euro a night, so it's not for free. And 2) the artist explains the concept is based on the myth around the Indo-European drug-like drink Soma, which is said to be won from mushrooms that soaked up Reindeer urine (hence the Reindeers and mushrooms in the exhibit). I must admit it is still quite odd but makes a little more sense to me now :)
