A member of the Royal Air Force Falcons Parachute Display Team shows off an action figure at the launch of the new toys representing the Royal Navy, Army and Royal Air Force. The army dolls were developed with the armed forces to promote army careers to children.

I'd much rather have my future daughters play with army dolls than barbie dolls anyday. I would of course explain to them the necessity/danger/morality of the job, but at least its a job where one uses her brain and the strength of her body not her looks to succeed.

^^I was thinking the same exact thing.I respect our military, but I wouldn't like my kid playing with action figures that come armed with a bazooka. (That is a bazooka in picture 2, right? Ha, my pacifist ways are showing) Anyway, call me a hypocrite, but I wouldn't want my kid to grow up thinking that killing people for the sake of the country is cool. Who are we to take away lives?

I don't know how I feel about this. The truth is, we seem to have gotten ourselves entangled in a lot of wars lately, and I don't like the idea of giving children the idea it's a fun and glamourous lifestyle. There is a lot of dignity and honor in choosing to serve in the military, but I think it's something you have to be an adult to consent to.
