It seems really weird that the guy left a message. I have made phone calls for the campaign, and our instructions were always to hang up if we got a machine. On the flip side, I've been phoned by the campaign several times and they have never left a message for me. (I know it was them because though it has many lines, our local office always shows up on caller ID as the main number.) The only messages I've gotten have been recordings.

I think they should put guys like that to bed. He is doing more damage than good.
