As it turns out, strip clubs solely directed at women are all the rage in Moscow these days according to Reuters. And these aren't just for bachelorette parties or fiftieth birthday celebrations. Women are heading to clubs for any old occasion, including your average cocktail hour. Interestingly enough, the article states:
Unlike the female version, male striptease rarely involves full nudity. . . . club workers say sex is not a priority for the women.
I find it fascinating that the notion of a strip club solely for women in Moscow is an everyday occurrence, while here in the US, it's something most women have never experienced, let alone frequent on a weekly basis. Perhaps if social norms were different here, more women would be spending their free nights at the local strip joint for a nice martini and a lap dance. Would you consider visiting strip clubs — outside of novelty occasions — if it was more socially acceptable?

2I've been to the Chippendales here in Boston a few times. And let me tell you, you're not missing much. I actually spent one whole show texting my other friends to come and save me.
I mean it's "okay" for laughs but it wasn't anything I would rave about.
3I wouldn't mind going at all. I hate that women usually have to hide the fact that they enjoy the male physique. There is definately a need for more venues like this in the U.S. not just male revue nights at local clubs.

9My best friend took me to a male strip club for my pre-wedding party. It was unbelieveable. The men were beautiful lean machines, not body building monsters. We laughed and screamed, I even had what they call a lap dance! What a hoot. Yes we need more of these it was lots of fun.

Depends on how attractive the men are! I'd say no a club full of muscle-bound meatheads, but if you filled a stage up with attractive men with bodies like David Beckham, I wouldn't mind having cocktails and just enjoying the view!

12i dont think id go. not my thing, not to judge those who would go. but i've always had a problem with the ratio of women who dont mind objectifying themselves to the amount of men who do the same. so if the ratio is getting closer it makes me happier. it really concerns me where women r heading these days, willing to put it all out there for anyone and everyone for a quick buck.

18When I was in my early 20's, I went out with some friends to a regular strip club that for one night a week featured male dancers. I was/am self employed and was looking forward to a night of pals and cocktails and de-stressing, not thinking too much about the dancers, it was more about getting out with my friends. We were told beforehand the guys wouldn't be taking it all off, so we knew we weren't going to have their junk in our faces. Well, there I am, in the front row with my pals...and out onto the stage sashays a male client of mine! All he had on was a paper plate! I was laughing so hard and sprinted to the bar. The dude jumped off the stage and danced this hilarious dance all the way over to me. I had my back turned and downed a shot of something strong, lol...turned around and he was writhing right next to me, still sporting the paper plate, thankfully. My buddies were dying, I was dying! Prior to that episode I'd always wondered what he did for a living...but that was a classic moment. I drank the bar dry that night, he made a LOT of money and we never went back there.
