As we counted down to 2011, we learned the secret to a perfect New Year's Eve kiss and that single people would rather get one than a new laptop. The midnight kiss is as overhyped as freezing in Times Square while you wait for the ball to drop, but it's undoubtedly fun to start a new year on a romantic note. Did sparks fly for you at midnight last night?

No, I was at work until 12:10 am or so. It was dead, but they made me stay "just in case." If I hadn't been working, I may have kissed this new guy I've been out on a couple dates with :P

Nope - because my hubby has a terrible cold. So we had a New Year's high-five and hug. :)

LOL. We got in so late the night before from our vacation, that I was asleep before midnight on NYE.

I kissed everyone in the room, although it was just pecks. There was no romantic kiss this year.

I got a big, wet, sloppy, kiss from my friend's 6 month old Cocker Spaniel-Poodle cross. It was an adorable way to start the new year.

I got no kiss. AGAIN. Despite being a droopy fool and elbowing up to him, he is so clueless. What to do? At least I resolved, this is the year I will fix this situation.

Yes, I did. Although, it was a minute late. I was at a rave & my boyfriend was smashed. He wandered off not realizing that midnight was quickly approaching. As soon as he heard the countdown and the happy new year cheers, he hurried back to kiss me. It was a minute late, but I don't really care. I kind of think midnight kisses are a bit overrated anyway.
