They need a sign that says "Don't come in unless you are going to buy something." Also without punctuation it makes it seem like you can't wear a shirt, or shoes, and you wont get service.

There's a store close to where my parents' live that has basically the same thing. I can't help but scan the checks that they've got hung up to see if I know anyone. With that being said, it probably would have been easier for them to put a sign up telling people what they CAN do in the store!
