Tonight Mitt Romney officially accepted his presidential nomination with his speech on the final night of the Republican National Convention. He talked about his church, success, and the women in his life, as well as name-dropping famous men who recently passed away, like Neil Armstrong and Steve Jobs.

TrèsSugar editor Annie Scudder was watching from inside. She reports that there were more protests during Mitt's speech, as there were during Paul Ryan's and Rick Santorum's. She says, "At one point I couldn't hear what Mitt was saying because of people shouting protests from different parts of the arena. One person got tackled in front of me and taken out, I presume by security. Still, Mitt seemed at ease. He spoke about growing up Mormon and his unconditional love for his family." Additionally, he talked about his mom, perhaps hoping to appeal to women voters, and got big cheers when he listed off female Republican leaders and noted that he appointed many women during his tenure as governor of Massachusetts. Annie added that it put her off a little when he said this about his wife: "Ann would have succeeded at anything she wanted to do," as if she missed her chance to be successful — but he did really stress how much he valued her work as a mom.

After the speech and lots of "USA, USA" chanting, the place filled with red, white, and blue balloons, and the whole Romney troupe took to the stage with Paul Ryan and his family. See photos of Mitt's big coming-out party in Tampa, including his celebrity presenter, Clint Eastwood, now.

American people make a point of pointing out what third-world country are doing wrong starting from their traditional values to their economy, and how women are treated as second class citizens, but yet as Americans we are acting like we are a third-world country by vote for Romney. Why elect a republican candidate who will control those very important and touchy subjects, economy and women. Women have fought long and hard to establish a place in a MALE dominant society, from equal pay to equal rights, One man will take us all backwards instead of forwards. Open your eyes people, dont vote republican, it’s the worst thing you can do, all republican's care about is tax cuts for the rich, cuts from social security, government aid to the poor and elderly, planned parenthood, and anything that helps aid the needy. Romney speaking about religion is like a Atheist speaking about God. God would NOT be proud of him, he claims to be religious, but he is a FAKE, he is everything God wouldn't want in a leader, a man, and a human being, Mitt Romney goes against what a True Christian and Catholic would be, maybe Mitt Romney should open up the bible more often. Mitt Romney should NOT use religion and Gods name to justify his LACK of HUMANITY AND COMPASSION. GREEDY ROMNEY should be his name. I have some questions for Romney, why doesn't he show his Birth Certificate? how do we know he wasn't born in Mexico?? He mentions growing up mormon, isn't that illegal in America, so does that mean he’s a mornon? Why does he try to cover up his comments even though he is caught lying? Why would i vote Mitt Romney for president, he is a LIAR, a SINNER, and a GREEDY man, and a sorry a@@ of a human being that cares for no one but his wallet. Ann Romney stated in one her lame speeches few months back stating, “I knew what women want, and they want to work,” I don’t believe Ann has worked a day in her life besides being a rich wife and mother. I want Ann Romney to work for a week or volunteer for a shelter. That whole family is out of touch from reality, they live in a bubble. America considers itself the riches and wealthiest country in the world but yet we have homeless people and families living on the streets; rich bastards cutting aid to the needy; Ron Paul stating comments about how poor people can die because he doesn’t believe government should be involved in helping the needy and the ill with much needed health care; and a country that DOES NOT want to provide its people with health care, is a country that doesn’t care about its citizens. Believe me if i tell you that Mitt Romney will not place unemployed people back to work he is the cause of a lot of layoffs, since he buys out companies and then fires all the employees, that how he makes his millions, he is the CEO he want to kick in the balls. People of America open your eyes and see that we will be going backwards if you vote for Romney, it took Bush Jr. eight years to destroy the economy, it will take that long to rebuild it, and Romney is not qualified to lead this country to victory, he's goal is not to pay taxes ones he's president making him more millions he doesn't need and deserve. How much is too much for a rich person? only GREEDY people want more and more. I have nothing against rich, but i have something against rich people who want to take from the poor and give to themselves because they dont want to pay taxes and want tax cut for the rich. Why does a rich person need a tax cut, he can afford to pay taxes. A rich person should pay more taxes than mid-poor class but Mitt Romney supposable pays less than a middle class in taxes and sometimes pays nothing at all since rich people can write off their Wife's expensive horses and dinner parties, and other not so legitimate expenses. America is looking like a communist country where you have the rich on one side and the poor on the other. Goodbye capitalist welcome communist. People go educate yourselves about Mitt Romney and his familyget some facts and stop watch the Fox news, it only makes you stupid. Mr. Romney should know this, money doesn’t buy you brains and class, it only buys a votes from greedy corporations. VOTE NO for Mitt Romney. P.S. I love Romney, but I have to agree with crackinlobster. Since when did you guys become so incredibly political? I come to popsugar to escape the politics, not get the celeb look at them. I hardly come on anymore because of all the political opinions you're using this once fun site to influence voters with.
