USA Today just posted a correction about Julie Hayek. She says she's Czech and German and maybe something else, so I guess Rima Fakih is the first Arab-American winner.

cirrus, I read that correction this morning on a few websites! This wasn't the only place to post she was the first.. funny it wasn't THAT long ago.. Regardless, she's beautiful & congrats to her.

First Muslim...maybe. First Arab American...nope! Julie Hayek was the first in 1983. She's quite a bit classier as well.

I think she's very pretty, and no more flawed than past winners.

Her answers to the final questions were really dippy, too, zeze. (Yes, I watched the end of the pageant.) Maybe she wowed them in the unaired portion of the competition or something. Although, even though it reminded me a wedding dress, I did like her dress.
