Middle Schoolers Engage in Oral Sex During Math Class A substitute math teacher in Connecticut didn't put two and two together. Under her supervision in math class, two eighth grade students at Pulaski Middle School in New Britain engaged in an oral sex act. As classmates watched, one supposedly taped the act on a camera phone. The footage is now rumored to be on YouTube. While the students' conduct was wildly inappropriate, the teacher must have had blinders on. Who do you think is to blame?

WTF is the teacher facing the chalk board the whole time and hearing impaired??? GROSS...I cannot even wrap my mind around this oral in class being video taped and You Tube...the pedophiles are probably giddy I'm sure the buzz has already started! Feh....I'm a bit pissed that young girls are this promiscuous in JHS. Dirty.

Trouble is Trixie, you're not guaranteed wisdom with your knowledge. Kids can talk more openly about stuff, but how helpful is the advice or information they're sharing? They seem to have as much drama in their lives as my friends and I did.These kids know how to have and tape oral sex, but do they have a clue about the repercussions this may have in their lives for years to come? People haven't changed that much that someone in town won't point the girl out ten years from now and share this story. And if it shows up on the internet, who knows how it will follow them.

It's only natural for parents to worry about their children, but as someone who can look objectively (having no children) I really don't think there's a generational trend for sex maniacs or violence. In fact, statistics show kids are becoming less violent.

My kids are 20, 18, 17, 14 and 8. The four oldest never cease to amaze me with what they talk about with their friends. They are so open and honest with each other and their friends about sex, drugs and drinking. Their generation just doesn't seem to have that whole "these are taboo subjects" thing hanging over their heads. Is it because these things are no longer taboo that kids think it's OK to have oral sex in math class or is it actually a good thing (that they're not taboo) because it gets kids talking about things that they otherwise (maybe) wouldn't?

There was a kid in my math class in high school who used to burn pencils during class. Teacher never noticed...must be something about math teachers.

Yeah, but there are a growing number of these stories - I'd say I've heard five in the past year. If you're a sensible parent, you're afraid your kid's going to get beat up for telling on the others. Or attacked in the hallway so she'll loosen up a bit.

Actually, I have several cousins who are in middle school, and they have told me it's happening so much more than we realize!!! It's happening in my old middle school, it's happening in small towns upstate new york (where my little cousins live)....it's just that it's not getting publicized as much bc not everyone is taping each act and posting it on the web.In my old middle school, they had to have people watching the bathrooms bc girls were performing oral sex on guys so much....

The thing about these stories is that it's ONE small tiny group of kids. I mean, if you're a sensible parent, these things usually don't happen.
