Obama Sings Along to Justin Timberlake During White House Concert

Justin Timberlake made an appearance at the White House in Washington DC yesterday.

Justin Timberlake made an appearance at the White House in Washington DC yesterday. The entertainer was on hand for Michelle Obama's Soulsville, USA: The History of Memphis Soul event, an interactive music workshop for 120 middle and high school students from across the country. Justin spoke to the crowd in the State Dining Room, where he was joined by legendary artists Mavis Staples, Sam Moore, and Charlie Musselwhite to teach the origins and influences of Memphis soul music. They took turns sharing stories and even had some laughs, stopping to fist-bump each other on the stage. The first lady's educational event precedes an evening concert called In Performance at the White House, a tradition that the Obamas started back in 2009. Later, Justin hit the stage with Queen Latifah and several other performers to celebrate the history of soul music. President Barack Obama hosted the event, and joked to Justin that he should be the singer at two newly-engaged White House staffers' wedding. He and Michelle later sang along to Justin's performance of "Sittin' On the Dock of the Bay" and enthusiastically danced in their seats.

Justin's stop in DC comes on the heels of a day of golfing with Kiefer Sutherland in Toluca Lake, CA, over the weekend. He's been enjoying some downtime in between promoting his hit album The 20/20 Experience and gearing up for his Summer stadium tour with Jay-Z, which kicks off in London on July 14.

Candlelit vigils, costume parades, a White House egg roll, and Seder feasts are just a few of the many religious and traditional celebrations that took place in honor of Passover and Easter. World leaders like Queen Elizabeth II and President Barack Obama (even Kid President!) were involved in festivities, and the holiday was especially important to Pope Francis, who led Easter services for the very first time as Pope. The Obamas' Vogue Interview Will Make You Love Them Even More

Michelle and Barack Obama's new Vogue interview proves they're just as cool as you probably suspected.

Michelle and Barack Obama's new Vogue interview proves they're just as cool as you probably suspected. In the April issue, which features the first lady looking vibrant on the cover wearing a midnight-blue Reed Krakoff sleeveless dress, the Obamas joke about hitting the clubs, quote Beyoncé, and share how they approach their marriage with teamwork.

When asked about DC critics who complain that the Obamas are antisocial, Michelle cut off the president before he could answer and said, "Our job is, first and foremost, to make sure our family is whole. You know, we have small kids; they're growing every day." Although, the president might just go out on the town more, now that his daughters are becoming teenagers. He told Vogue: "Now that they want less time with us, who knows? Maybe you'll see us out in the clubs.” Then the president added, "Let's put it this way: I did an awful lot of socializing in my teens and 20s."

As for his marriage, Barack sees his wife not only as a supporter, but also as a partner. He said, "I think it would be a mistake to think that my wife, when I walk in the door, is, Hey, honey, how was your day? Let me give you a neck rub. It's not as if Michelle is thinking in terms of, How do I cater to my husband? I think it's much more, We're a team, and how do I make sure that this guy is together enough that he's paying attention to his girls and not forgetting the basketball game that he's supposed to be going to on Sunday?"

As for his fashion, Michelle has helped the president ditch his 20-year-old khakis. "Michelle's like Beyoncé in that song," the president explained. "'Let me upgrade ya!' She upgraded me." Michelle chimed in: "The girls and I are always rooting when he wears, like, a stripe. They're like, 'Dad! Oh, you look so handsome. Oh, stripes! You go!'" Check out the cover and a photo from inside the issue now.
