When the woman goes to start the barbecue, her upset male mate says: "What would happen if I just walked into the kitchen and started making a salad?" Maybe she'd assume he wanted to eat a salad? Wrong! She'd be upset that he disrupted the perfect gender balance achieved by letting the woman cook inside and the man cook outside.
