MSNBC's Chris Matthews Won't Run for Senate Hardball host Chris Matthews won't be trading in his on-camera makeup and scripts for the Senate. He told his producers yesterday that he isn't seeking the Democratic nomination for the seat occupied by moderate Republican Arlen Specter, who is up for re-election in 2010.

1Er...that's good. Sometimes I like him, sometimes I find him a little scary, and sometimes I'm just afraid the veins in his head are going to explode.
2I was going to say he looks relatively normal in this picture, not like the out of control hot air balloon he is on the air. Did anyone in Pennsylvania actually want him to run?
