Sunday Confessional: I Have a Low Sex Drive

This week's confession comes from our anonymous Confession Booth group in the TrèsSugar Community. Weigh in with your advice below.

I can feel my boyfriend is about to propose and I'm really excited. But we hardly have sex. Both of us seem to have a low sex drive. I'm worried about what that might mean for our marriage.

If your satisfied, and he is satisfied then I wouldn't worry about it. Some people just aren't into it as much as others. If you guys are happy, then I think it is all gonna be okay :)

both of you should go to the doctor. your issue can be eaisly fixed. one thing YOU might consider is taking an over the counter supplement called DHEA. not sure if it works on men, but you'll notice the effects w/i 2 weeks; FR SURE. the thng is, once yoursystem is out of wack, its not going to be just one thing. so if your sex drie is low, other things could be "off" as well. with mes, low T can cause depression and anxiety as well.

I wholeheartedly agree with 'myhousemd' in that if you and your fiancé don't see your low sex drives as a major problem in your relationship, why spend time concerning yourself with fixing something that isn't broken. Don't be swayed by the media's idyllic notion that everyone's having sex three times a day and anything less means your unhappy.

I have a low sex drive, but my husband's is very high. But we love each other like crazy, and it hasn't been a serious problem. Because I love him, I sometimes give him what he wants even if I'm not in the mood. And if it isn't a problem for the two of you, it's even less of a problem. There are lots of other ways to connect, as I'm sure the two of you know.

If you're in tune and both have low sex drives, and it's not about a lack of attraction but just the way you guys are, then I don't see the problem. Like lucky says, talk to him about it!
