In this potent spoof of the Will.i.am remix of Barack Obama's "Yes We Can" speech, John McCain comes off as a bit of a downer.

Hope and reality are not mutually exclusive. You don't need to be a war mongerer to be realistic. You don't need to be lying to have hope. I'd take hope to straight talk anyday. Hope suggests that what we have is not perfect but that it is possible to make it better. A straight-talker just wants to talk about all the problems but gives now indication of making any changes for the better. In my opinion to have hope, you need to first of all be a straight-talker...

LOL! Bomb Iran??!! Sad story. I don't think this is realistic, i think it is pessimistic. All he stated was the obvious, no one wants to hear that, we already know that, tell us something that we don't know. Sorry no offense to the McCain supporters, but I'm still backing Ron Paul lol

janneth: I don't think McCain is going to do what he wants, he has too many people to please; it will be a balance act to get both the conservatives AND the moderates(and independents), in addition to the base. I don't think it is the best fit for McCain, and the straight talk I respected him for is swiftly being replaced by the opinions of republican advisers.

Haha oh my gosh the sign language girl!! I have a lot of friends who support McCain but am thrilled to say that I feel 100% confident that when I send this to them they will get a good chuckle out of it instead of getting so defensive....................just saying!

It's sad that people don't think that someone with great ideas can lead this country to do great things. I think people don't want to hope because they are afraid of disappointment.I've read Obama's thoughts on the issues, and his plans for the future. I've researched his record and the actions that he has taken in the past that back-up his commitments to these issues. I see nothing unrealistic about it. The only unrealistic thing in this election is the expectation that there would be any difference between a McCain presidency and the GWB presidency.

Will it hurt him? No. But that's up to the American public.SO many people are fed up with the way things are. ANd the only way it's going to change is if people get up and VOTE. Vote for change. VOTE for a better America.I'm listening to people complain about Obama and Clinton--that neither are 'perfect' candidates. And it worries me--that these people are looking so much for the best, most optimal solution that they won't get up and vote for A solution. True, neither Clinton nor Obama is perfect, but they (and to some extent, McCain) represent change from the current regime. If you want the war to end, then PLEASE VOTE for a candidate who will take the troops out of Iraq. Do something.
