Singing the national anthem before a stadium of sports fans has gotta be nerve-racking. Your voice could crack, you could forget the words, or, in the case of Kat DeLuna, your rendition could be so over-the-top Mariahesque that by the time you're finished, the crowd boos. What did you think?

Chantelle
my god! although it does take big ones to stand up there and sing in front of those people..but come on. she was way to nervous which is why she did all those runs!! i actually felt sorry for her at some point. this will teach her not to show off!
1Maybe everything else in her world revolves around every silly little thing she does, but the National Anthem doesn't fall into her gravitational pull, methinks. I would've booed too.
2I prefer singers who are considered to have "okay" voices and who don't feel the need to over sing. Even though I don't know why people give that much importance to being able to sing like someone like Mariah Carey as if every female musician must obviously want to or cares to be able to.
3She deserved to be booed. That song is supposed to be sung with respect and humbleness, not to show off your voice.
4Those poor Cowboys fans
5sincere question ... who is kat deluna?
6Didn't you hear the announcer, dtorres? She is a "pop sensation!"
Honestly, I'd
never heard of her before either!
7I'm glad you asked ditorres, I was thinking I was so very out of touch with pop culture because I didn't have a clue! The only "sensation" I had listening to her sing was that watery feeling in your mouth right before you vomit!
8I have the same question...who is she?! I guess now at least she'll get a few more google or youtube hits
9Well, call me old fashioned, but you have to give credit to someone that young belting out the National anthem. I have never been able to sing, so I always get a little jealous of those whom make ridiculous mountains of money off it.
You wouldn't catch me dead singing in
front of that many people. Hell, I don't like people hearing me sing in my car or the shower.
Whether it was over the top or not, I just think its poor manners to boo when someone performs-- unless it warranted like burning the American flag of Janet's SuperBoob.... I
mean Super Bowl "incident".
10hey, she sounded a lot better than Roseanne lmao

wow. only got 1/4 of the way in and had to quit. it's a beautiful song all on it's own. you don't need to church it up.
12Actually, it wasn't that bad - I heard about the horrible job she did all day yesterday, but today was the first time that I was able to actually listen to it, and I expected it to be much worse. I don't see what the big deal is. It's not the greatest rendition of the national anthem, but it is certainly not the worst.
For those asking who she is, isn't she the one who sings that annoying "Whine up" song?
13I thought it was ok too. I would not have booed her. She must have felt horrible.
14I think you should never, never, never, ever make changes to the Star Spangled Banner...not cool. Just sing it the way it was written. This is not a time to switch things up.
She should be so embarrassed.
15Whine up? Ok I am totally out of touch with pop music culture...
16YUCK !!!!!!!!!!!
17Can anything be better (worse?) than that hockey game singer?
18kat de luna is the one who sings the song "whine up" and "run the show"
