Thinking outside the fake-news (gift)box last night, Stephen Colbert premiered A Colbert Christmas: The Greatest Gift of All. Other guests included Willie Nelson, Elvis Costello, Toby Keith, and Feist.

If you missed the union of two of my favorite things in the world — the holiday season and Stephen Colbert — you can buy the DVD or download it on iTunes tomorrow. The soundtrack, sure to join Bing Crosby and Mariah Carey on the list of classic holiday albums, will also go on sale. A portion of the proceeds go to Feeding America. Did you catch Stephen's holiday special?

It was the best Christmas special ever... I laughed til I cried.
1OMG the John Legend 'nutmeg' bit had my fiance and I laughing so hard I was in tears. This special was quite possibly the greatest thing ever.
2best part was when he was making out with the bear.

3I just don't know which part was best: the customer service angel, the try chanukah duet, the ode to nutmeg, bringing weed to the Baby Jesus... It was all so beautiful!
4Am I the only one that swooned during John Legend's song?
5I can't wait to see this special.
6You are going to LOVE it.
7John Legend made a silly song sound soooo good!
8How the heck did he get a Park Service uniform? And a real looking badge? Hmm
9wow he can sing about anything and I still melt!?
10I missed it (and my fave Elvis Costello), but that ranger costume is great!
