She Fights For Women

Jane has been involved in numerous feminist causes. In 2005, Jane worked with Gloria Steinem to cofound the Women's Media Center, an organization to encourage women's leadership in the media through advocacy. She's extremely involved in The Vagina Monologues, movements to stop violence against women, and reproductive rights organizations. In 2001, Jane founded the Jane Fonda Center for Adolescent Reproductive Health at Emory University in Atlanta to use education and training to prevent teen pregnancy.

Jane Fonda is questionably a brilliant actress. She’s been true to her beliefs and worked hard to make this country & the world a better place. Her anti-war work began when soldiers came to her with complaints (she was Miss Army Recruiter in 1962) and she investigated - in order to properly respond to them. For that, she was hounded by the US government for decades (the FBI had a list of children who were in kindergarten with her son) and has been vilified by people who separately admit that much of what she said about the war in Vietnam was true. Sycophants are the people who are too cowardly to speak out.
