She's considered one of the leaders of the baby boomer fitness craze of the time, and her first video, Jane Fonda's Workout, sold 17 million copies. Jane took a break from the workout video business beginning in 1995 until last year, when she came back on the fitness scene with two new DVDs.

Jane Fonda is questionably a brilliant actress. She’s been true to her beliefs and worked hard to make this country & the world a better place. Her anti-war work began when soldiers came to her with complaints (she was Miss Army Recruiter in 1962) and she investigated - in order to properly respond to them. For that, she was hounded by the US government for decades (the FBI had a list of children who were in kindergarten with her son) and has been vilified by people who separately admit that much of what she said about the war in Vietnam was true. Sycophants are the people who are too cowardly to speak out.
