Published posthumously in 1817, Northanger Abbey tells the story of Catherine Morland, who stays with a family in Bath. There, she meets a girl named Isabella and gets pursued by Isabella's brother, John. She also gets to know a handsome man named Henry, who lives at Northanger Abbey. Social status, lies, and an awkward love triangle complicate Catherine's circumstances until she finally reaches her happily ever after.

Felicity Jones stars as Catherine in the 2007 TV movie adaptation alongside Carey Mulligan as Isabella and J.J. Feild as Henry.
