This month marks five years since the US invaded Iraq. The anniversary is a perfect opportunity for Americans to reflect, and thank the men and women serving our country in the armed forces for their selfless dedication. Thank you.
The current situation in Iraq has been a military, political, and humanitarian roller coaster since the US decided to take military action against Saddam Hussein's regime. wow, i feel for those kids who have to grow up in a situation like this. the kids in Iraq and the kids whose parents are fighting in iraq, fought in iraq and those kids whose parents never came back. Props to the soldiers but props to their families and to their wives and girlfriends,husbands and boyfriends who have to hold it together everyday.

8Wow, 5 years already. The war started 2 days before my 21st birthday and I had so many friends that were in line to go over there. It's weird to think that I really grew up on the shadow of this war like my parents grew up in the shadow of Vietnam.
9i pray for all soldiers and their families every night except for my ex husband thats another story, btw thank you for being strong and allowing your loved ones to be strong, they made a choice to leave for our freedom, thanks to every other pop poster in the armed forces or with a loved one in, me myself dont have any loved ones over there other than my ex
10And on top of the harsh conditions American troops are enduring, let's not forget the hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqis who died since the conflict started and the millions who are suffering daily with very little hope to ever get their lives back.

12You have to also remember that the Iraqis had a tyrrant/dictator as their leader who slaughtered millions of his own people and because of our troops, the Iraqis are starting to see a future without tyranny and with democracy -the freedom to choose-. I appreciate every effort our brave troops have made in an effort to bring peace in this world.
