Interspecies Lovin'

Meet Finnegan the squirrel and Mademoiselle Giselle the Papillon dog who helped nurse him back to health. A known animal lover in her 'hood, human Debby Cantlon was asked to care for an abandoned newborn squirrel. (Have three words in the English language ever been filled with such pathos?) While she was caring for him, she realized her pregnant Papillon was intent on helping. After Mlle. Giselle had her puppies, she seemed to insist on including Finnegan in the puppy mosh pit (pics below). Although Finnegan will be released back into the wild (and probably is already there as this story's about a year old), I imagine it will be tough to leave such a loving adopted family. Go Finnegan!
