I'm Losing Sleep Over My Job

I have a super stressful job in a fast-paced industry. My co-workers are ultra competitive with each another and my hours get to very be long. Overall, I love what I do and I'm climbing the corporate ladder quickly so I wouldn't dream of quitting, but I just want to be able to manage it better. I often leave work in a daze from all of the hustling, and once I get home, I have a hard time relaxing and falling asleep at night. Do you have any tips on how to leave office stress at the office? Can't Relax Max

Try scheduling time for yourself each day to either; go to the gym before work, or to take a 15 minute walk in the middle of your lunch break. Whatever it may be that you like to, make sure you are incorporating some kind of exercise into your day. Moving around helps to significantly reduce stress. You might want to also try taking a hot shower or bath at night when you get home to loosen up your muscles and some of the tension. Drop some peppermint, sandalwood or lavender oil into the bath or (loofah, if you shower). You might not be falling asleep because you've got a lot on your mind too. Writing your thoughts on note paper before bed can be a good way to literally get ideas or to do lists out of your head and to save them for morning when it's time to deal with everything again.
