However, I would like to say that while I have heard all of these things before and know every little bit counts, I by no means consider myself "as green as they come". Yes, I do a little, but its just that...a LITTLE!
6it's too bad that eco friendly appliances cost so much more

125/5, agree MrsRachel.
134/5. I would think hand washing would use less energy, because the dishwasher is using electricity during the entire cycle vs. hand washing that only uses it to heat the water. I think that one is debatable....
145/5...oh yeahhh baby
154/5 Missed the dishwasher question.
*I would think the dishwasher uses less hot water and energy than hand washing. I know I use way more water and energy from the hot water heater when I hand wash vs using the dishwasher.

I would have debated hand washing at one point, but I learned a few years ago: dishwashers, when full, are definitely more eco-friendly.

31I'd believe the dishwasher thing far more easily if Electrolux wasn't the one saying it...
32I didn't learn it from a company, FTR - I learned it from research that wasn't funded by a company.
Boricua, if you're too selfish to care, then kiindly ignore this thread and go wallow in your wasteful ways. We don't need to hear YOUR nonsense.
33Advertorial or not, I thought this was a good way to learn about what products are being designed with green in mind. I'm glad to see corporations putting their thought into designs that might help save the planet.
And I always thought handwashing was most water-efficient, as long as you don't leave the water running-- I still think that's true, because 2 sinks of water has to be less than what a dishwasher uses, but kudos to companies for trying to improve it.
I'm glad to see people heading in the right direction finally, even if it seems like an empty fad right now.

355/5 ... but that's because I work in the industry and the information is drilled into my brain. haha

375/5, some of them are common sense, even the diswasher one. I always end up using much more water when I hand wash, but unfortunately, it isn't common that I can use the diswasher when full.

42Too bad the majority of "eco-friendly" products contain plastic (which isn't 'green' at all) and are created in sweat shops, hmm...
