How to Get Advice on TresSugar

3 Tips For Writing Group Therapy Posts That Get Advice

Every day our Group Therapy section in the community fills with questions about relationships, etiquette, love and sex, and life's little and big dramas. We love reading them and feature one nearly every day on Très's homepage.

Of course, the more views you get, the more advice you get. So here are three tips on how to write Group Therapy posts that get answers.

  • Keep it short: Sometimes you just want to vent, and Group Therapy is there for that too, but if you'd like tangible advice, then keep it as abbreviated as possible.
  • Know your question: Similar to keeping it short, you also want to get right to the essence of the problem (i.e. "my boyfriend's talking to his ex," "my mother-in-law is insane," "my boyfriend told me he has an STD") rather than be bogged down by details. Tell the essentials; everyone will want to answer because we'll relate.
  • Cleanliness is postliness: We try to keep editing to an absolute minimum when reposting a Group Therapy question on Très, so the more ready-to-wear your words are the more likely we are to post them. Of course, it doesn't need to be perfect!

Now, get posting!
