So many questions come to mind when reading this. It's got such a hook it should be used in those short story writing classes on how to get someone's attention immediately. There's the unlikely victim, the mysterious motivation of the co-workers, and the question (in my mind anyway) of why they didn't just add "mushrooms" as a topping. Way less conspicuous.
