Meet Tama, a nine-year-old "super-stationmaster" for a Japanese railway. (She was recently promoted from plain ol' "stationmaster.") It seems that this charming little feline showed up a few years ago, and as a result, the ridership went up. The ailing station couldn't afford to hire a human stationmaster, and since Tama was doing such a good job, they promoted her. Okay, I was all for this until I heard that "she's the only female in a managerial position at the company." I've heard of the glass ceiling, but a cat ceiling? Click here if you think I made this up.

What a beauty! They come up with some crazy ideas over there!
Very pretty cat. Crazy idea, but whatever works
I don't get it. What does she do that is so special. Does she actually direct people in the station?
Haha, bengal. She does nada, zip! She's cute, though!
I have to admit, I didn't believe it at first. I thought you were trying to pull an April Fools joke in late May!
The way she wears that hat makes me think she is fully qualified for the job!
The fact that she is putting up with the hat makes me think she's one great kitty indeed.
I can't even put a collar on my cat without getting my butt kicked, imagine a hat
she's got attitude.
Sunny, I think you mean, "cattitude."
