Have You Ever Gotten Even?

We all know that breakups are tough, but the things people do after a split sometimes blow my mind! When a couple goes their separate ways, reminders of their past relationship can sting. Donna D'Errico, the now ex-wife of Motley Crue's bassist Nikki Sixx, is selling things that belonged to her former flame — everything ranging from Christmas ornaments to jewelry — on eBay. While a portion of the sales will go to a good cause, (Donna's Corner, a charity she started to help women get through divorce) I happen to think it's a great way to get a clean slate, even a great way to get even!

Since we've all been through a breakup or two, tell me, have you ever gone to extremes to get even with your ex?

An ex that was a substitute teacher cheated on me then left me for a 17 year old senior. I called the school board.

I don't really have a lot of exes, but the one I do have... We ended mutually, and it was painful and all, but he is, overall, a great guy... There was no need for revenge. It would also be kind of embarrassing as he is my best friend, so we talk often... I wouldn't want him to know how painful just being friends is sometimes. I guess my "revenge" would be acting perfectly happy with everything? Sorry this is kind of long for something pointless.

Oh and I guess I subconsciously never go to Walgreens anymore because he had mad stock there and while we were dating NEVER went to Rite Aid, CVS, whatever. It's dumb but it makes me feel better lol. Kind of like kia's broncos story, I guess.

bbkf, I do that!!! My ex dumped me for some girl he was cheating on me with and then invited me to a party he was having like a month later, so I showed up in the world's sexiest halter top and made a point to flirt with like every dude at the party, especially his friends I met while we were dating! Not exactly revenge, but good fun.

I haven't had any reason to. I have made sure to wear a super hot dress to a party and hang all over my new man when I knew and ex would be there...but what self respecting woman wouldn't do that?? ;-)

I think the worst thing I have done has been rooting against the Broncos ever since an ex and I went our separate ways. I know every time they lose, he is a bit sad. This has since backfired on me because I now live near Denver and kind of want to root for the home team. Darn karma!

I've thankfully never had to get revenge on a man. I should have gotten revenge on my ex-BFF and still might, she deserves it.

haha fluffy, thats hecka funny I was much younger then I am now but my a-hole ex was cheating on me with 2 of his ex's (well he said they were exes). one of them even showed up the next morning when I spent the night and he was calling her crazy and a stalker, etc... So anyway long story short after a night I found out he was screwing around with the 2nd ex, we all knew of each other so we decided to collaboratively get even with him and we followed him in our car until he got too spooked to go home and stayed with a friend. We went to walmart to get poster board and said what a jerk and etc... he was and taped them up everywhere around his apt community including flyers on everyone's cars. to top it off we decided to go for drinks the next night at a bar that was along his bus route (yes he was a bus driver, kinda like the muni but this is back East). when we knew he would be getting to the stop we waited for him, he drove right past of course and pissed other people who called his supervisor and complained. We showed everywhere we knew he'd be for about a week afterward and it was totally fun to get back at him. sorry for being so long. :)

My ex got confused about a liver condition I have and thought I'd given him hepatitis (I don't have hep!!) and went to the STD clinic to get tested.A few months later we started talking again and he'd gotten the COTTON SWAB treatment down his dick. It made up for EVERYTHING to hear him say that and describe the pain he was in.Everything. ;pOh, and then I got together with his best friend. I'd say we're even. ;p

I really haven't. And I've had reason to - lots of cheating exes! I guess I just feel like at the end of the day, I can't control anything else in the world but how I respond to things. I don't think it would ultimately make me feel any better, and it might even make me feel worse.
