Has Your Boyfriend Ever Stood Up For You?

I didn't think Spencer had it in him to swallow his pride, admit his wrongdoings, and put someone else first. But last night on The Hills, he proved me wrong! Though he didn't get very far in trying to get Heidi her job back, I was glad to see him go to her rescue.

I'm not an advocate of confrontation, but I think it'd be pretty hot to have a boyfriend stand up for me, whatever the situation. Has a boyfriend ever come to your aid when you needed rescuing?

Aww I'm sorry ilnac...and I empathize completely. I love my husband very much, as you said, in the grand scheme of things, he's wonderful...but there have definitely been some defining moments where he really needed to ride up on his white horse and slay a dragon for me, and he either galloped right past me, or worse, stood up for the dragon! But like I said, I've learned to stand up for myself.

it's kind of sad for me to say but no my man has never stood up for me. there have been many instances where he should have taken up for me and said something, but i don't know if it's just him or if he's scared to speak up but he really never had my back. i know - a lot of you would say that maybe i need to move on, but i guess it's just one of those things that i can look past in the grand scheme of things.

It depends on the situation if I'm more passionate about the issue he lets me handle it and if he his then I let him have ago at it. And sometime we both attack the issue together. Spencer is an ass and if they are in fact acting he's a very good actor.

once when i had this horrible phone prank. and when my friend who hasn't met him yet said in front of everyone that 'he (my bf) and his gangster friends might just kill us!!!' oh i just FLIPPED and told her off and asked her to apologize, in front of everyone, of course. (: i could never stand her, and this incident proved my point.

Hedi got what she deserved. She was drinking on the job. What ever Spencer did was only to gain camera fame. Dont be sloppy drunk on the job and you wont get fired. Its simple.

Even my ex-husband looks out for me. :) I could call on any ex and he'd help me, I just don't. Now that I'm single, random men always want to 'help' me. LOL I just say 'No thank you, I've got it...' because that 'help' is never FREE! :) One ex is a police officer, his number is the only one I need :)

My ex got into a few fights "defending" me. I don't think I necessarily needed defending... Once one of his friends was drunk and lifted up my skirt and my ex went absolutely ballistic on him. He had to be held back. I think it's good to have someone that will defend his gf, but only in necessary circumstances.

my guy sticks up for me all the time. he's pretty protective. he hates it when people try to make me feel bad.

My boyfriend and I are always there to stick up for one another, we rely on each other for support and it makes for a really great relationship. I don't rely on him to solve all my problems that's for sure, and he doesn't rely on me to solve all his either, but we are always there to help each other.

my husband has stuck up to his mom for me before. it's very sweet because I know that can't be easy for him even when he thinks it's the right thing to do.

We both stick up for each other when it's needed. And sometimes we stand up TO each other. :P

I wouldn't want my bf approaching my boss, especially if part of the reason I got fired is because my bf was causing problems at work. I think it's incredibly weak to expect your guy to stick up for you and handle your problems - YOU got fired, you should be the one to go over and talk to them. Or better yet, just show your class by saying hello and being cordial, then calling on Monday morning to set up a business meeting to discuss possibly getting the job back, rather than try to have a confrontation in a noisy club.

12 years ago, my boyfriend (at the time) pulled a plank off a scaffolding to beat on a couple of guys who had tried to steal my purse and were chasing me down the street. It was the bravest, sexiest thing I've ever seen. "GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM HER" - they were running away like a bunch of scared rabbits, in front of this short skinny scrawny little guy who most definitely looked like he had rabies. And a big plank of wood.
