Judge Vaughn Walker rejected the petitions of gay marriage opponents today, ruling that as of Aug. 18 gay couples will be allowed to marry in California. While the Supreme Court will ultimately judge his decision to overrule California's gay marriage ban, it seems that regular Americans agree with him. For the first time — ever — more Americans support gay marriage than oppose it.
The marriage equality camp is getting love from unusual places. Yesterday when Bill O'Reilly, who's been on a roll lately, asked Glenn Beck if he thinks gay marriage will harm the country, Beck said: "No, I don't. Will the gays come and get us? . . . I believe what Thomas Jefferson said. If it neither breaks my leg nor picks my pocket, what difference is it to me?" See that? Both Thomas Jefferson and Glenn Beck support gay marriage!
