Mick Jagger did not rape her and she was not 14. Mackenzie has said years ago that she was of legal age, 18, and that he showed up at her hotel room and said he'd been waiting for this since she was 10. Yes it is gross, but it was not rape and she was not underage with Mick. However Mackenzie was raped by a stranger at knifepoint, at 14 while hitchhiking.

A friend of mine was abused by her grandfather, after years of this she told her mother that she didn't like going over there and begged not to have to go. She didn't tell her parent's about the abuse until she found out that he did the same thing to her cousin. When she finally spoke up her whole family except her mother and stepmother turned against her and refuses to speak to her. Her cousin told everyone except her brother, who she admitted it to, that she's lying and that they were never touched. It's taken her quite a few years to get past the fact that its not her fault and that finally speaking up was the only way for her to heal. It's really sad that she is now being emotionally abused by her family after what she's been through. They are a disgusting group and will email, and text her the most vile things, and call her the most disgusting names. It's so sad.

I think she's calling it consensual because she probably feels a lot of guilt for what went on with her father. It'll probably be years before she fully realizes that no matter how long this went on, having been raped by her father and then lost in drugs for so long, is what is making her feel as though it was consensual and the onus is on her. I don't even want to imagine how it destroyed her grip on reality and made her a victim of her father's perversity.

You'd think that being the daughter of celebrities would be a dream come true but it seems that many celebrities end up messing up their children. So yea while my parents weren't rich, they loved me and didn't mess me up. Man I don't even know what to say. I disagree with MP, she may call it consensual, but I think her father took advantage of her and raped her. That's just how I see it. I don't care if he had his nice moments in life, you shouldn't mess up your children this way.No wonder she's been so messed up. If this is the truth...I hope its the truth and she didn't lie to sell her book.

This is so sad, I believe these things happened to her. Her father was on drugs and she was too. Everything is twisted and awful. Where was her mother when all this was going on? I always wondered why her life was so complicated and messed up, she's been in the news before about drug problems, etc. Her life has alway been such a mess, now we know why...........

I'm watching this on Tivo right now, and it was actually her STEPmom who said it wasn't true, not her real mother. I volunteered as a peer advocate for sexual assault victims, and we always lamented the fact that people are so quick to accuse victims of lying. In reality, only 2% of rapes are falsely reported, which is the same as any other crime. In addition, the thing we always said was, why would anyone want to make this up? No one wants that kind of attention. Another thing I learned as an advocate is that people are always quick to blame and judge sexual assault victims because it makes them feel more in control of their own lives. @ Anon #13 - I'm so sorry to hear about your experience. If you were coerced, then you were coerced regardless of whether your cousin was close to your age. It's great that you plan on discussing this with a professional. Good luck!

Never thought I'd share this on this site but it's anonymous so here goes... Only just recently I told my bf that when I was 7, my cousin who was 2 years older coerced me into sexual activity with them that started off with simple fooling around but quickly turned into more than that which lasted over the next few years. It's something that's always been in the back of my mind. Not everyday, but certainly have thought about it at least a couple days a month if not more, and certainly more now that I'm beginning to speak about it and trying to make sense of it. The thing that makes it difficult for me is whether it's defined as abuse or not because of the closeness in age and because I never resisted (of course I was naive and easily taken advantage of though). The way I see it now, it was abuse, even though some I've told have not agreed because of the similar age (despite it being very young). I've been in therapy previously for other things but have never talked about this issue til recently when I told my bf who actually wasn't all that surprised which is messed up, but he mostly gathered it through intimacy issues with me he said. I'm not in therapy now (lost insurance, and only just got it back) but plan to start again soon and start talking about it with a professional. Anyways, any chance to get it off my chest seems beneficial to me right now (I'm in my mid-20s) since I've held this secret for so long so thanks for reading even if it might be a strange place to share.
