- House Set to Vote on Bailout:
The US House is debating the Bailout Bill this morning, preparing for a vote expected later today. The version they're considering is heftier version approved by the Senate earlier this week. Speaker Pelosi said of the pending vote, "We're not going to take a bill to the floor that doesn't have the votes. I'm optimistic that we will take a bill to the floor." The House rejected the first Bailout plan on Monday. - Fact-Checking and Debate Quotes:

A report released today shows that fewer people are trying to enter the US illegally, and that over the past year there has been no growth in the number of illegal immigrants in residence. For the first time in almost 10 years, the number of people entering illegally was lower than those coming in through legal channels. Experts think the loss of low-wage jobs in the American economy and tighter borders could be the cause.

Pied A Terre
You could house a full family of chipmunks in that burrow of Hair on top of Pelosi's head , its like a little liberal hidey hole!
1I hope the vote comes soon...I'm sick of this being dragged out.
2The vote is in and Biden won. CNN poll shows Sarah as being more likeable, but Biden as being more equipped for the job.
3The results are in, amigo! What's left to ponder?
4This bailout compounds the problem. Prices must be allowed to adjust down. I think those who represent our public should take an economics class.
5In the interest of full disclosure, my portfolio bets it will pass. So, I wish Pelosi would shut up and let them vote.
6i'm glad that there was more confidence about the bailout this time around. i don't know how the country would have reacted if it didn't pass this time. it's hard enough being uncertain and then to think the government isn't in agreement on it, well that's even harder.
i think that during the debate last night, they were correcting each other left and right, so i'm sure that the fact checkers were really into it as well! i can't wait to see what the results are.
i saw that they are saying that the illegal immigrant numbers are going down - i wonder if it's because police are being more harsh, there are more raids, or what...
