I have to agree with urban chic 101. I agree that we need health care reforml. And I don't trust my government (with the way they've been running things) to run my health care. I just don't.

Sorry, but a government run Health Care is the worst idea ever. Look at Cash for Clunkers... that went really, really well didn't? Yes, there should be reform most definitely. I'm not saying insurance companies a little angels, but they do provide a great job for most Americans who pay for it. There are actually many government run health programs that allow people with low incomes to still get medical care. How about we fix a little thing called TORT reform so that doctors won't have to worry about getting sued every 5 seconds. Look, do we need Health Care reform? Yes. But should we penalize those who work hard to get good health insurance? Of course the Super Rich are getting poorer, who isn't losing money in this economy. Not to mention the immense amount of taxes the rich pay. There is nothing wrong with someone working hard and making money for themselves, that is what the American Dream is about. So why do so many people hate those who have succeed and made a name for themselves.

My sister worded for an insurance company (and did decided peoples fate, she was high up (pretty fast actually but I think they have high turn around). She's not a Dr. (though she is a highly skilled nurse w/ advance degrees and lots of years nursing), and she always had big arguments with her boss (the accountant) over treatment. Needless to say despite the big money she quit in 3 months. I've also had a friend who died because of an insurance decision. She was going to speak in front of congress (when Sicko came out). Of course the night before she left for D.C. magically the company changed their mind, but she was too sick to undergo treatment by that time. I see health care as the people's bailout, and I wish we could get a side of studen loan reform as well.

You should post the Jon Steward Clip from last night. It dealt w/ "death panels" and really speaks for itself.
